AquaGo Manger & Supervisor Application

AquaGo Manager

Pay increase of $1.00/hr above regular coach payscale rate while in this role

1hr / week schedule office hours

Requirements:

  • Minimum experience of 1 year of coaching
  • AquaGo course complete (trained or certified)
  • Able to participate in AquaGo programming at least once per week

*Not required but assets - First Aid & CPR, Lifeguarding Certification, Introduction to Competition course complete.

Responsibilities:

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment that promotes confidence, teamwork, and enjoyment of the sport.
  • Create athlete groups based on age, skill level, and program registration, for review and approval by the Head Coach.
  • Communicate program expectations, coaching best practices, and program standards to AquaGo coaches.
  • Supervise, support, and mentor coaches and volunteers within the recreational program.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for coaches regarding group assignments, schedule changes, program updates, and important dates.
  • Answer coach questions and concerns, or relay them to the Head Coach when appropriate.
  • Monitor and respond to email communications regularly (minimum 3–4 times per week) and distribute information as needed.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians regarding program information, athlete placement, and general inquiries.
  • Address minor athlete, parent, and coach concerns in a timely and professional manner and escalate issues when appropriate.
  • Print, organize, and maintain program documentation with support from the AquaGo Supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate program records, including athlete levels, contact lists, attendance records, and semester tracking documents.
  • Coach AquaGo groups and/or provide deck supervision as required. (*supervision means rotating between groups, observing, helping as needed)
  • Identify opportunities for program improvement and bring recommendations regarding programming, policies, or procedures to the Head Coach for review.
  • Implement approved program and procedural changes as directed.
  • Coordinate coach substitutions, manage call-outs, and arrange replacement coverage when necessary.
  • Assist with program planning, registration periods, evaluations, and special events as required.
  • Ensure program operations align with club policies, safety standards, and organizational objectives.


AquaGo Supervisor

Pay increase of $0.50/hr above regular coach payscale rate while in this role

30 min/week scheduled office hours

Requirements:

  • Minimum experience of 1 year of coaching
  • AquaGo course complete (trained or certified)
  • Able to participate in AquaGo programming at least once per week

*Not required but assets - First Aid & CPR, Lifeguarding Certification, Introduction to Competition course complete.

Responsibilities:

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment that promotes confidence, teamwork, and enjoyment of the sport.
  • Support the implementation of program standards, expectations, and coaching best practices established by the Manager and Head Coach..
  • Act as a resource for coaches by answering questions and providing guidance during practices.
  • Assist with athlete evaluations, group placements, and progress tracking as directed by the Manager.
  • Assist with the preparation, organization, and distribution of program materials and documentation.
  • Assist with parent communication and address routine questions or concerns, referring more complex matters to the Manager.
  • Monitor and respond to email communications regularly (minimum 2 times per week).
  • Support coach onboarding and provide mentorship to newer coaches.
  • Coach or supervise AquaGo groups as assigned.
  • Notify the Manager of staffing concerns, program issues, athlete concerns, or opportunities for program improvement.
  • Assist with special events, evaluations, showcases, registrations, and other program activities as required..
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Manager, Head Coach, or Club Leadership.
